«Sulava» means flowing and elegant in Finnish. This idea also shapes the sound of the evening: a natural musical flow between different styles and expressions. Yero Richard and Marco Bartoli take you on an extraordinary journey with the nylon-string guitar through jazz, classical, and South American music.
Swing, Bossa Nova, Tango, and jazz standards blend with classical language – characterized by phrasing, counterpoint, spontaneity, and rhythmic finesse. Surprising musical encounters emerge: Bach meets the Beatles, the Concierto de Aranjuez encounters Chick Corea. In addition to these original and reimagined arrangements, the duo also presents their own compositions.
