Description
Stone Water play soul-infused rock'n'roll and weave Southern and Americana influences with the sound of Swinging London. Their music is characterized by plenty of "Mississippi mud" from old blues greats, combined with the energy and spirit of traditional 60s bands. The debut album "Make Me Try," mastered by Martin Meinschäfer, was nominated for the "German Record Critics' Award" and has received numerous reviews in specialist magazines and online portals, including from the USA, England, France, Spain, and the Netherlands. Over the past two years, Stone Water has quickly won the hearts of audiences at various concerts and festivals. The band makes no secret of their musical roots. They draw from the same source of American roots music that inspired the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Little Feat, Black Crowes, and Tom Petty, carrying the tradition into the here and now with their own interpretation. “Soul, sound, style & plenty of rock’n’roll – all there: Stone Water are one of the best bands I have seen on German club stages in recent years!” – Ernst Hofacker, music journalist (Rolling Stone, among others)
