Description

48 cushions by Majeda’s Tatreez, embroidered by women in Bethlehem, Beit Sahour, Hebron. Postcards with photos of the embroiderers' hands and text.
The 48 cushions reference the year of the Nakba in 1948. They can be purchased during the exhibition. Thus, the installation gradually empties, containing empty fields – just like the map of Palestine since 1948.
All proceeds from the sale of the cushions go 100% to the producers. + Concert by Roland Dahinden, trombone ‘O little light in me, say: Enter my heart in peace. All of you, come in!’ (Heba Abu Nada, Gaza, killed by an Israeli airstrike on October 20, 2023)
