The saxophonist Alex Hendriksen and pianist Stewy von Wattenwyl have been performing together for many years in various formations. In this duo project, they keep it minimal. "DuoLog" means dialogue, that is listening and speaking, where speaking can also be whispering or shouting. No other formation allows for better communication than face-to-face, that is, almost under four eyes. However, musical maturity and openness to the other are prerequisites. The old companions and friends Alex and Stewy are capable of this. Their musical discussions fascinate, regardless of whether the topic is a substantial original composition, a gem from the Great American Songbook, or a pop song.
