Donato Villani – Drums Nicolas Fardel – Guitar Colin Dayer – Keyboards Cristophe Dayer – Bass Antonino Donato Villani… His name itself is a journey, and his journey is music. His work draws its essence from jazz, fusion, ethnomusicology, and electronic music within the context of contemporary creation. Strongly inspired by Africa, it conveys an echo of the savannah under the stars… And nights with tropical scents he has spent in his «cave», where drums, vibraphone, and everything that can be played with drumsticks invite to dance. He dreams of it, composes and dissects it, perfects and revives it – this overall work with «chapters» like «Neverending Dance» or «Rivers Spirit» and this «Risveglio», which turns into «Cascades», ultimately culminating in «Embouteillage» in «Wind in the Wood». All these titles are stages on his path over glowing coals, which he has believed in throughout his life. This selection of original and previously unreleased compositions is staged by guitarist Nicolas Fardel and the Dayer brothers – Christophe and Colin on bass and keyboards – around Donato Villani's drums.
