Description

Since 2012, Nora Steiner and Madlaina Pollina have been performing under the name Steiner&Madlaina. Three years later, in 2015, they released their first EP. Since then, the two have become a fixed part of the German-speaking female indie pop scene. They are Swiss with European identity; Madlaina Pollina has a semi-Italian background, Nora Steiner a semi-Greek background, and through working and living across borders (the band has now split between Vienna and Zurich), they should not be underestimated as a nostalgic homeland phenomenon from the beginning. The Swiss aspect of Steiner&Madlaina is the friction surface where open-minded thinking, privileges, and responsibilities are tested and negotiated. Participants and additional information:
