Description
On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Suchard factories in Serrières, Dominique Gilliot offers a poetic, humorous, and deliberately offbeat guided tour. This "false" historical visit revisits the origins of the Wodey-Suchard companies, their establishment in Serrières, and their place in the Neuchâtel and Swiss landscape. Through a queer, decolonial, and playful perspective, the tour questions the human and social issues related to this history. More than just transmitting knowledge about the Suchard factories, it aims to be a sensitive and personal experience. Following in the footsteps of her projects A propos de…, including a version proposed at the Pommier in 2025, Dominique Gilliot immersed herself in the region, between Neuchâtel and Serrières, for some time. After wandering and gathering stories, as well as conducting some documentary research, she will synthesize all this material to offer us a unique guided tour, at the border between fiction and reality.
