STARKGROUP (CH):
In their music, STARKGROUP skillfully turns various knobs of refined jazz and makes it resound in a different, polished, and sometimes unfamiliar guise. Their music is characterized by intimate interplay and creates space for the unexpected. On stage, the young musicians move through the profound valleys and wandering mountains of their music. From ballad-like whispers just before the apparent nothingness to ecstatic whirlwinds, the audience receives a concentrated dose of youthful joy of playing and improvisation. The compositions from their own pen create a fertile ground for this intimacy and allow the listeners to immerse themselves in the here and now. SYAS INK (CH):
SYAS INK is a vocal quartet that creates spaces with pure vocal power where calmness and intensity coexist. The four singers are inspired by poets and compose to their poems. Thus, places of deceleration, attention, and poetry are created. In their current project, they deal with poems by Emily Dickinson, who throughout her life received no hearing or understanding for her art. The experimental and contemporary compositions are inspired by the courage and vulnerability of the poetess and connect the shared values and artistic goals of the four singers: independence, equality, and expressiveness.
