Description

Much of what we know is not written in any book. It lives in memories, experiences and stories - and is passed on from generation to generation in everyday life. With "spychere!", the Chüechlihus Regional Museum is launching a new project that focuses on this local knowledge. It is about knowledge from here: about experiences, observations and stories that have shaped life in the Emmental - and continue to do so today.

Together with the local population, the Chüechlihus Regional Museum will be collecting local knowledge in the first part from April 2026. The project focuses on knowledge that is rarely found in books, but lives on in people's minds and family stories.

In addition to the launch of the collection on April 1, 2026, we are also celebrating the opening of the exhibition. As inspiration, the museum team will showcase its knowledge with the help of the museum objects. The exhibition provides insights into very different "knowledge" and thus opens up new perspectives.

In the second part, this knowledge is explored further together and the exhibition is expanded - again together with the public. The Chüechlihus Regional Museum displays the knowledge gathered together in the museum in the exhibition, which is constantly being updated, and on the online platform e-spycher.ch.

At the end of the "spychere!" project, the question arises as to how this knowledge can be passed on and used - in the third part, project ideas are developed together with school classes and associations.
