Spoken Word Festival woerdz 2026: The Spoken Word Showcase

Description

The fact that a football match lasts ninety minutes does not apply when kicking authors meet: they unleash their greatest talent during the third half, at the joint reading. Spoken-word artists from the Swiss Literature National Team and the Austrian authors' football team line up in two fours. And they promise no Catenaccio, but a poetic offensive spectacle. The veteran of the Swiss spoken-word scene, Pedro Lenz, revives Diego Maradona with his words, while Simon Ho virtuously accompanies him on the piano. For the commission, author and playwright Sibylle Berg has teamed up with the German band Kreidler.
Moderation Christoph Simon. The afterparty continues at the Südpol-Club, where woerdz 2026 winds down wildly with the quirky troupe Trampeltier of Love (aka Simon Hari, Matto Kämpf, and Marc Unternährer). Afterwards, the DJ collective Akiwawa treats us to their rare sound pearls (Dusty & Raw Soul, Funk, Psych, African & Island Sounds).

The Spoken Word Festival woerdz 2026 takes place at Südpol in Kriens and offers a unique showcase of spoken-word art. In addition to readings by renowned authors, there is an afterparty with live music and DJ sets.
