SPIELRAUM

Description

We are 8 performers, over 50. We have been imposed, in a heteronormative society, to build our identity within a certain corset of femininity and masculinity. This corset shapes our desires, our behavior, and our power relations. Through this binary division, our sense of community has been partly split rather than strengthened. Where do we stand today? What has remained of this norm in our bodies, our relationships, and our imagination? How do we deal with our original socialization and our current self? Between archive and inventory, SPIELRAUM experiments with the ambivalence between power, privilege, coercion, desire, positioning, and vulnerability, and seeks new forms of togetherness.

General Information

SPIELRAUM is a theater performance that deals with identity and social norms in a heteronormative society. The performers, all over 50, explore the ambivalences of power, desire, and vulnerability and seek new forms of togetherness.
