Sonic Boom Diskurs «Tabu, Tabu»

Description

What can be argued about if not about taboos? What should artists do if not push boundaries and respond to world events? Does music have to be political – or can it simply be beautiful? And what role does the audience play in this? What can and want they endure?
With these questions, Gare du Nord aims to spark an exciting discussion as part of the Artist-in-Residence-Program «Sonic Boom» and explore the possibilities and limits of concerts as a meeting place.
We look forward to an entertaining, audience-oriented panel discussion about the relationship between artists and the audience, about concert culture and societal dialogue. Musical interventions before and after the discussion will frame the event.

General Information

As part of the Artist-in-Residence-Program «Sonic Boom», a discussion about the relationship between artists and the audience will take place. The event addresses taboos in music and the role of the audience in concert culture.
