Description
In 2023/24, under the motto "Collect, Participate, Exhibit," the public was invited to provide Kreuzlingen objects for the "Stadtlabor" exhibition. Supplemented with our own objects, we showcased a broad spectrum of topics and the diversity of the collection. At the same time, it became clear during the project how much is still little or not researched at all. With our "new stories from the Stadtlabor," we now take a step further: We present impressive, touching, and mysterious objects from the depot and new additions that awaken the spirit of research – ours and, in the sense of "Citizen Science," also that of the citizens. What is the story behind the suitcase sent from Kreuzlingen to Lübeck in 1951 and rediscovered in 2023? Are the photographs contained within testimonies of a flight story between Lake Constance and the Baltic Sea? Which trail leads from Venice to the high altar of the Emmishofer Church of St. Stephan? And we marvel at how a Kreuzlingen physics teacher wanted to explain the world to children.
