The participatory special exhibition «Life & Letting Be. Traces of Being Human» at the Old Armory Frauenfeld presents in an interactive and personalized tour what remains of the major life stages from birth through youth to death and how the legacies of human life are treated in different epochs and parts of the world. How long and why do we remember people or not?

The participatory tour
Visitors can take a 3D print of a self-chosen key object on the tour and engage in a dialogue with the exhibition at interactive stations. The exhibition illustrates with around 100 selected objects which material traces of us endure and for what reasons.

The supporting program
Guided tours, school offers, exhibition talks with well-known personalities from Thurgau, informative and entertaining lectures on objects and life stages, a surprising Icon-Poet event, as well as participatory projects with youth, children, and grandparents address the themes of the special exhibition.
