Sing along with the Stubecheerli

Description

The street songs used to be sung loudly and terribly through the Schmiedgasse in Stans by men returning from the pub; loud and terribly because the craftsmen were already slightly or heavily drunk. The songs were also sung during longer visits to the pub and at village and street festivals. However, these 'Gassenlieder' were not only sung in the Schmiedgasse in Stans. They could be heard at folk festivals and are also said to have found their way into farmhouses from time to time. Many of the songs had fallen into oblivion. For some years now, the Stanser Stubecheerli has been trying to preserve these old songs. On October 29, 2026, the Stubecheerli will sing these songs with guests. Lyrics sheets will be distributed so that guests can sing along. The sing-along evening on the Stanserhorn starts at 19:00 in the Bucher & Durrer Säli. Between the songs, guests will enjoy a delicious 3-course menu. Menu:
