Simone Kopmajer in the quartet Austria's jazz flagship received her training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with Sheila Jordan and Mark Murphy. The 'Styrian vocalist with the fine timbre and the cool swing' – as she was aptly described in an Austrian music magazine – enjoys cult status in Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Simone Kopmajer was again nominated for an AMADEUS AUSTRIAN MUSIC AWARD with her 2025 album "HOPE", the globally successful album, among others, reached #1 on the Japan Jazz Charts. Kopmajer's sound is somewhere between jazz, swing, and tasteful pop. Although her music is very relaxed, flowing, and elegant, it is also very playful and varied.
