Simone Felbers iheimisch is a main and heartfelt project of one of the most prominent and controversial voices of the new Swiss folk music. Together with Rafael Jerjen, Polina Niederhäuser, and Adrian Würsch, the yodeler, songwriter, and choir director Simone Felber explores the potentials of New Folk with iheimisch. With the production Totätanz, the ensemble addresses a universal but taboo topic: one's own mortality. iheimisch handles the dark theme with lightness and composes sophisticated contemporary folk music about dying and our way of dealing with it.
