Thirty years ago, conductor Simon Rattle was at the rise of Thomas Adès among the greatest stars of contemporary music. This time, a new work by his favorite composer will be surrounded by pieces from Antonín Dvořák, Claude Debussy, and Karol Szymanowski. And for the concert of the latter, the orchestra will not be alone – the violin solo will be performed by Janine Jansen.
