Simon & Garfunkel - Tribute meets Classic - Graceland Duo with String Quartet and Band

Description

With songs like "The Sound of Silence" and "Cecilia," Simon & Garfunkel created poetic anthems for an entire generation. "Mrs. Robinson" became world-famous in 1969 through the American film "The Graduate." In 1968, the American duo wrote "The Boxer," an emotionally charged ode to a survivor. Two years later, the simple yet beautiful composition "Bridge Over Troubled Water" entered music history as a message of hope. For several years, the duo Graceland has been intensely exploring the musical spirit of their idols and tours successfully across the country with the program "A Tribute to Simon & Garfunkel." Thomas Wacker (Paul Simon) and Thorsten Gary (Art Garfunkel) quickly realized that the music of Simon & Garfunkel is perfect for combining the countless classics of the most famous folk rock duo in the world with the unmistakable sound of a classical string ensemble. The interplay of the two voices and two guitars with classical instruments makes the songs of Simon & Garfunkel a powerful and extraordinary musical experience. Concertgoers can expect an evening full of emotion, a homage to the 60s and 70s, and a musical diversity rarely seen. With band and quartet, they traverse heartfelt songs and energize the audience elsewhere. www.graceland-online.de
