With this unforgettable chanson, the Sinfonietta Schaffhausen, together with singer and actress Charlotte Joss, invites you to enter the world of French chansons at the turn of the year – from Edith Piaf to Jacques Brel to Barbara Pravi. In between, melodies by Charles Aznavour, Charles Trenet, and Yves Montand, as well as musettes and melodies from French films, will bring the Parisian flair to life in various facets on this evening. The SINFONIETTA SCHAFFHAUSEN was founded 22 years ago and today consists of around 50 professional musicians. The orchestra has released 5 CDs on renowned labels. In 2023, the album with violin concertos by Glazunov and Saint-Saëns was nominated for the German Record Award. In addition to the annual New Year's Eve concerts at the Stadttheater and other performances in the "Schaffhausen Klassik" concert series, engagements have included the Zurich Tonhalle.
