Silja Walter was a writer and poet of extraordinary vitality and timeless creative power. For her heavenly work with earthly grounding, she received numerous honors in the fields of literature and culture. Silja Walter, the Benedictine Sister Maria Hedwig, passed away on January 31, 2011, almost 92 years old, at the Fahr Monastery.
Her work still inspires today through theater, dance, readings, conversations, or church celebrations.
