As a constant remains the voice of singer and songwriter Philipp Saner, who for 14 years has been presenting his idiosyncratic adaptations of jazz, pop, rock, and country sounds under the pseudonym silent neighbor. Then and now, Saner's songs explore the cracks on the surface of cultivated interpersonal relationships and sometimes plunge with great urgency into existential abysses, without losing the sense of humor in tragedy. His songs combine delicate songwriting with sonic depth and invite careful listening. The music leaves space, breathes, and unfolds a quiet power that resonates long after. What unites both artists goes beyond their friendship: the joy of storytelling, the search for honesty, and the courage to transform vulnerability into music.
