Description

Well known among classical music enthusiasts and lovers of exceptional events, the Septembre Musical festival resonates the most beautiful notes from symphonic ensembles and top soloists in prestigious venues on the Swiss Riviera. The Stravinski Auditorium, the Vevey Theatre, and even the Château de Chillon are the unique settings for these concerts. Created in 1946, the festival is certainly part of the Vaud cultural heritage, but it also actively encourages young talents, who are the guarantors of the freshness and future of classical ensembles. An enthusiastic audience, coming from the region and from all over the world, applauds each year the new faces and the luminaries of symphonic art and chamber music. With the arrival of the new director, Mischa Damev, at the head of the festival, a new era is on the horizon. Under his leadership, the festival will annually honor a country. The culture of this country will be celebrated in all its forms: its classical music, of course, with its musicians, orchestras, composers, or soloists. But also its traditional music, cuisine, and visual arts. Many unprecedented experiences that the festival aims to offer its audience starting in 2019.
The concerts may take place in the following venues: Château de Chillon, Reflet, Salle del Castillo, 2m2c, Saint-Martin, the Sacré-Cœur church.
