Scout taster day

Description

Experiencing fun, games and adventures in nature with people of the same age. Many people associate this with scouting as a meaningful leisure activity. In scouting, children make friends for life, try out new things and acquire new skills.

However, words alone cannot describe the wide range of activities offered by the Scouts. That's why around 330 scout groups are inviting interested people to come and try it out on March 15, 2025. At ten locations in Schaffhausen and the Zürcher Weinland, children and young people aged 5 to 15 can experience scouting up close.

The program varies from group to group. Of course, "typical" scout activities will not be missing: Roasting snake bread around a warm campfire, crossing a rope bridge or giving free rein to their own creativity with handicrafts. The departments and their leaders are also preparing exciting activities this year.

The Swiss Scout Movement has around 51,000 members at the beginning of 2025. The growth in membership in recent years is mainly due to the huge commitment of the volunteer leaders. They are between 16 and 24 years old and regularly organize activities for the younger Scouts. They learn to take responsibility and lead a group as youngsters.

The Swiss Scout Movement invites children and young people to experience scouting at ten locations in Schaffhausen and Zürcher Weinland.
