Description
In «Die Blutbuche», an open-air play escalates into a biting satire about tradition, power, and democracy – with boundless imagination, singing, chaos, and flying role changes.
Only every 50 years is the open-air play «Die Blutbuche» performed, and in the end, the tree is cut down. But director Frau Gut soon reaches her limits: Gemeindepräsident Kellenberger refuses to be told what to do, the extras Hans and Heiri say a lot but always the wrong thing, and Herr Schön has no interest in traditions. When Schön resorts to radical means in the dispute over interpretive power, freedom, and democracy, much more than a theater piece is at stake. The seventh act of «schön & gut» brings satire, wordplay, singing, and role changes.
