Tasting Chocolate

Description

A good chocolate can unfold as many aromas as wine: from earthy to fruity, delicate or powerful. But good chocolate also depends on the circumstances of its production: Where does the cocoa come from, who cultivated it, and were humans and the environment respected? We start with an overview of the bittersweet history and present of cocoa and chocolate. Afterwards, selected chocolates will be introduced and tasted – mainly from small producers who exemplarily combine sensory qualities and ethics. You will experience chocolate in a new way!

General Information

The event takes place at the Volkshochschule Zürich and offers a comprehensive introduction to the world of chocolate. Participants will learn more about the origin of cocoa and enjoy a selection of chocolates that impress both taste-wise and ethically.
