From Friday, September 25, through Sunday, September 27, 2026, the Seechilbi Schmerikon invites locals and visitors from across the region to a fun-filled festival weekend. The event will feature a diverse lineup of attractions, rides, food, music, and special events. Visitors can look forward to a lively weekend in Schmerikon. Several Firsts
The 2026 event will feature several firsts. On Friday evening, the Seechilbi will officially open with the raising of the fair tree, the tapping of the first keg of beer, and a blessing. On Saturday, the Seechilbi Champion—a new competition featuring games, fun, and physical activity in the village—will take place. Also new this year is the presentation of the Schmerikon Sports and Culture Award as part of the Seechilbi. slowUp Lake Zurich
On Sunday, the Seechilbi coincides with the slowUp Lake Zurich. This will once again make Schmerikon a popular gathering place for families, cyclists, walkers, and festival-goers from across the region. Program/Schedule: Friday, September 25, 2026
5:00 p. m. – Sponsors’ reception in the main festival tent with musical entertainment.
6:00 p. m. – Start of the festival with the festival tree, tapping of the first keg, and blessing.
7:00 p. m. – Musical entertainment. Saturday, September 26, 2026
Starting at 11:00 a. m. – Festival activities in the village.
1:00–5:00 p. m. – Seechilbi Champion.
6:00 p. m. – Announcement of results for the Seechilbi Champion.
7:00 p. m. – Honors and presentation of the Schmerkner Sports and Culture Award.
