Description

Schaghejegh Nosrati was born in 1989 in Bochum. As a versatile musician and outstanding interpreter of Bach's music, she quickly made a name for herself as a concert pianist. Her musical collaboration with Sir András Schiff and her prize at the International Bach Competition 2014 in Leipzig secured her international success. This allows her to perform in numerous renowned concert halls around the world, including the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, the Tonhalle Zurich, the Playhouse in Vancouver, Wigmore Hall in London, Carnegie Hall in New York, as well as in Beijing and Shanghai. Besides her activity as a solo pianist, she also performs in chamber music, especially in the Joolaee Trio, which she founded in 2022 together with musicians Misgh Joolaee and Sebastian Flaig. Parallel to this, Schaghajegh Nosrati is also committed to passing on her knowledge; since 2020, she has been teaching at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media and at the Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin. Her discography includes about ten albums, the latest of which features the music of the French composer Charles Alkan, especially the four movements of the sonata
