Mode The winner of the Swiss Cup is determined after six rounds (1/32, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2 final, final). All matches are drawn. The first main round is drawn regionally. In the first round, clubs from the Swiss Football League do not face each other. In the second round, direct encounters between clubs of the Super League are excluded. Otherwise, there are no seeded teams. Up to and including the fifth round, the lower league team has home advantage, which, combined with the fact that clubs of the Super League cannot meet in the second round of the Swiss Cup, is intended to enable as many football festivals "in the countryside" between David and Goliath as possible.
