SBCRtalk x Daniel Polman ULTRA TOUR

Description

Join us for an exceptional evening with ultracyclist, journalist, and author Daniel Polman, who will guide you through the world of incredible endurance, adventure, and inspiration. The evening will begin with a screening of his new film from the ULTRA TOUR project, followed by a discussion with Daniel, during which you can ask questions, engage in the conversation, and hear about the life of an 'ultrapacker' who views cycling as more than just a sport — as a way of thinking, a challenge, and personal growth. During the evening, Daniel will introduce his new book, 'Šest tisíc v úniku.' In July 2025, Daniel Polman faced one of the craziest cycling challenges – the Ultra Tour project. Without any support, he rode the complete route of the Tour de France and also completed the transfers between all 21 stages that professional teams traveled by bus. The project became an uncompromising ultracycling race against time, as Dan attempted to reach Paris before the winner in the yellow jersey. In the end, he succeeded with a lead of three days. In numbers: - 6013 kilometers - 19 days and 7 hours - over 4000 meters of elevation - an average of 311 kilometers per day - while sleeping less than 3 hours! Let’s embark together with the 'Ultrapacker' on the trails of the most famous cycling race and experience its rich history and authentic beauty, spiced with extraordinary experiences and interesting stories that Dan encountered along the route!
