Samichlausfahrt 2026 - from Zürich-Wiedikon to Sihlwald

Full steam ahead to Samichlaus. On Saturday, December 5, 2026, the historic steam train of the Zurich Museum Railway will take us to Sihlwald to visit Samichlaus. Well, we know where Samichlaus lives. So we can visit him together with you on December 6, 2025.
The two trips will be with a historic steam train of the Zurich Museum Railway from Zurich-Wiedikon to Sihlwald and back. Upon arrival in Sihlwald, young and old will meet Samichlaus along with Schmutzli and Eseli in the forest. After a short walk, there will be a small celebration outdoors on the grounds of the Zurich Wilderness Park visitor center. Samichlaus looks forward to listening to the poems of the especially well-behaved children. This event is a very special Samichlaus experience for the whole family! Included in the price of CHF 39.– (CHF 29.– for children up to 16 years) are the steam train ride, the celebration, punch or hot chocolate, decorated tables with treats, and a generously filled Samichlaus sack for all children from the Taucherli chocolate manufactory in Adliswil.
