Dreams tickle our senses. They amuse and inspire us. And they make the impossible suddenly seem childishly easy. On the occasion of their 20th stage anniversary, Salut Salon leads us passionately and enchantingly through musical dream worlds between illusion and reality. Already with their spectacular opener, the "Tango del Diablo!" by Astor Piazzolla, Angelika Bachmann (violin), Meta Hüper (violin), Heike Schuch (cello), and Olga Shkrygunova (piano) hint at how diverse dreams can sound: turbulent and disturbing, delicate and longing. The quartet wanders with absolutely captivating dynamics through emotions and uses the instruments not only in classical perfection but also daringly and imaginatively as sound tools and artistic accomplices. Violins, cello, and piano are beaten, processed, and danced upon. The instruments sound so impulsively and sensitively as if they were independent characters with their own stories to tell: of exuberance and love, of the fleetingness of time, and the utopias we especially need right now. In "Dreams!" Salut Salon brings various magical beings and fairy-tale figures to life. They play pranks, stimulate reflection, and fuel the imagination. Casually grooving, the witches are conjured in Donovan's "Season of the Witch!" Wildly they fly around in Bartholdy's "Walpurgis Night!" And with enchanting finesse, they navigate through Goethe's "Hexeneinmaleins!" The devil, again, is up to mischief in Prokofiev's "Diabolical Suggestion!" And with the film music from "Harry Potter!" it goes straight into the secrets of Hogwarts. Salut Salon knows no limits when dreaming: a Jewish number brims with dance, joy of life, and a will for freedom. And the lullaby "Nana!" by Georgian composer Sulchan Zinzadze gently touches the soul as a mother and her child dream of returning to their homeland. Whether Vivaldi, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, or Dukas: Salut Salon interprets the works wonderfully idiosyncratically and with intoxicating joy of playing. The quartet amazes its audience with verbal acrobatics and slapstick, with tap dance and a singing saw. And with all sorts of astonishing effects: a glowing spark jumps quite literally from one musician to the next, snow falls on the stage like in a fairy-tale forest. And when it gets especially fast and passionate, even the cello bow burns. Not to forget the puppet Oskar, who drives pianist Olga to madness with his hilarious magic tricks. The musicians repeatedly join in multi-voiced singing, as touching as it is euphoric. "Dreams!" is a show full of poetry that they have wonderfully eavesdropped on the world. Entertainment with substance and a wink, which inspires and elevates the audience. And which most beautifully encourages everyone to follow their own dreams.

On the occasion of their anniversary, Salut Salon presents a unique concert at the Theater am Aegi in Hanover. The quartet takes the audience into a fascinating world of dreams, where classical music meets creative performances.
