Season Finale

Description

For the season finale, the doors of the woodturning museum are open once again. Regular guided tours of the industrial archaeological site are offered. The tour starts at the pond and follows the path of the water to see what the water power achieves. The water shoots onto the turbine blades, which drive the transmission belts. With the simple frame saw, boards are cut from a tree trunk, and on the lathe, a long timber cantel is worked on. In no time, visitors can recognize shapes. In the exhibition room, many old tools and turned objects can be admired, which were used or made by three generations of the Rüegg family. In the same room, the shoemaker's workshop of Albert Knecht, Steg, can be seen.
The geological trail with its self-explanatory information boards is open for free viewing.
The festival catering is ready with drinks and grilled food.
