Czech Sacred Art 1990–2026 The exhibition thematically follows the award-winning project from 2022, which focused on Czech sacred art from 1948-1989. The upcoming exhibition and publication will present and evaluate artistic works, architectural modifications, and new constructions in the Czech church environment since 1990, when there was a fundamental change in the status of churches in the Czech Republic, which significantly influenced artistic and construction activities. The project is based on a curatorial selection of artistically valuable works and architecture from a wide range of realizations that could emerge without previous restrictions during the period of freedom. It will focus on the sacred spaces of Christian churches not only of the Roman Catholic Church but also of the Czech Brethren Evangelical Church, Czechoslovak Hussite Church, and Brethren Church.
