Rusalka, the pearl of Czech opera, is a fairy tale-myth about the deepest desires, passions, and the barely surmountable boundaries between humans and the elements, and is part of the world's operatic treasure. The new production of Rusalka at the National Theatre has been entrusted to the directing duo SKUTR, who are the authors of one of the most successful productions at the National Theatre today, namely the theatrical adaptation of Erben's Kytice. With the new production of Rusalka, Tomáš Netopil, one of the most sought-after Czech conductors on both the domestic and international scene, returns to the National Theatre.
