Description

The poor miller wishes more than anything that his daughter should have a better life someday. He does everything to enable her to have a good life. But times are hard, and an economic upswing is not in sight. During a flour delivery to the castle, the miller jokingly tells the king that his daughter can spin straw into gold - just to be in the spotlight and make an impression. The king becomes very curious and orders that the miller's daughter must prove this special ability to him. However, if it turns out to be a lie, there would be serious consequences. The fairy tale emphasizes values such as honesty, responsibility, courage, and the great importance of language and knowledge. At the same time, we learn: help can be received when really needed - but often not without a return. Whoever makes a promise must also keep it - even if it is difficult. Suitable music by Monika Romer and colorful stage design by Tarcis Cadalbert and Vicky Dovat delight the ear and eye. Professional actors play in the ensemble of the traveling theater.
