Guitarist and composer Rudy Linka is one of the most prominent Czech jazz musicians with international acclaim. His playing is characterized by melodic innovation, lyricism, and a deep sense of groove and space. In his music, he combines American modern jazz with European sensitivity and his personal life story. In the intimate setting of the trio, he will present pieces from the album Live as well as newer original works, where virtuosic guitar playing, melodic inventiveness, and spontaneous interplay of top musicians come together. On drums is Rudy Royston, one of the most respected drummers in contemporary jazz, known for his collaboration with Bill Frisell, among others. On double bass is Chris van Voorst van Beest, a sought-after European double bassist with a solid tone and sensitive phrasing, who brings stability, depth, and elegance to the trio, naturally connecting rhythm and harmony.
