The God of Christianity – a lecture series: Was Jesus resurrected from the dead? The resurrection of Jesus is at the core of Christian faith. Central questions arise: Should the resurrection be understood as a historical event, or does the talk of resurrection point to a reality beyond history? The lecture examines biblical testimonies, places them in their historical context, and questions their significance for the Christian understanding of life, death, and hope – then and now. Speaker: Prof. Dr. Benjamin Schliesser. He teaches New Testament at the Theological Faculty of the University of Bern.
Moderation: Mathias Mütel, Education Officer of the Diocese of Basel / Mathias Arbogast, Pastoral Care Counselor of the Biel Pastoral Area. Afterwards, an aperitif will be offered.
