He is a musician, screenwriter, author, and filmmaker – and a talented writer. On the occasion of his 60th stage anniversary, Reinhold Bilgeri presents his latest literary work.
Reinhold Bilgeri reads from his newest bestseller novel „Das Gewissen der Tauben“ – the story of a crazy love between 20-year-old Gerda and the inscrutable Piero, a 30-year-old Italian-Swiss who is entangled in a smuggling mafia and thus gives Gerda and her strictly Catholic mother insights into the shady dealings of the Vatican, which historically collaborated with Nazis and enabled their escape to South America – a daring love story from the 50s/60s, set against a world that Gerda and her mother would not have believed possible.
In between, Bilgeri sings songs from the Great American Songbook.
