From an early age, Raul, born in southern Peru in 1966, showed a passion for everything related to music. Obvious — and even more audible — was the emergence of an ambitious musician driven by unwavering belief that he could succeed. In the 1990s, Raul was a frequent and well-loved guest in various formations across Peru, quickly establishing himself as a skilled musician, arranger, and composer. With his own projects, he managed to make a name for himself beyond the borders of the country. His performances, which include major stadium concerts, television, and radio appearances, as well as all important clubs in Peru, continue to be unforgettable, captivating audiences and making him a source of pride for his home region. He has produced 6 albums. Palisandro The band Palisandro was founded in Europe; some of its members were part of the Kallpa workshop in the city of Arequipa, where they formed the group Rikchari, which traveled to Europe, especially France. They parted ways and founded Palisandro in 1987. It was established by the brothers Fredy and Sidgar Choque Morales, musicians from Yunguyo (Puno), and Aldo Rodríguez Rocca, a musician from Lima whom they met in Europe and who sadly passed away during the pandemic. The name Palisandro is derived from a tree native to the Amazon region, in honor of which they decided to name themselves. Today, the group is still active and performs their art in Europe, where its members live. They have produced 8 successful albums. Following the pandemic, they spontaneously started a music project together with troubadour Raul Huerta from Arequipa, blending two different styles to create a magical sound of Latin American voices and instruments, full of emotion and feeling.
