Description
In cooperation with Jazzclub Lindau. Helbock's passionate, wild trio meets one of Germany's most exciting singers!
The three musicians from Vorarlberg celebrated their 15th anniversary last year and have performed hundreds of concerts worldwide. The hallmark of the trio is and remains the many instruments – only three musicians, but over 20 instruments. Inspired by this variety of sound possibilities, David Helbock, who focuses on piano and some percussion, has composed many new pieces and set poems by William Blake, Emily Dickinson, and others to music. For this program, the trio has invited Fola Dada to sing these very poems. Fola Dada is an extremely versatile artist and can be regarded as a pioneer when it comes to combining different genres in singing. The trained jazz singer started with tap dance in the style of Fred Astaire and continued with vocal coaching for DSDS contestants by Dieter Bohlen. She is an integral part of the German jazz and soul scene and was awarded the German Jazz Prize in the category of singing in 2022. "When composition crosses into artistry, when sound becomes an honest, sometimes acrobatic expression, the result is timeless." Paris Move / FR Jazz on the Backstage With
