R5 - Dvořák's 3rd Symphony

Description

This Dvořák-themed program connects music inspired by nature with music responding to the contemporary world. The concert opens with the overture In Nature, the first part of Dvořák's triptych Nature, Life, and Love. The centerpiece of the program will be the world premiere of a new piece by Miroslav Srnka, Is This Us? The composer dedicated the work to the memory of musicologist Lenka Hlávková. The evening will conclude with Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 10, a work from the early period of Dvořák's creation.
