Description
Mao Fujita, whose fame has continuously grown since he won, at only 19 years old, the International Piano Competition Clara Haskil in Vevey, has a musical personality made of naturalness, sensitivity, and sovereign virtuosity. Meanwhile, Renaud Capuçon, a major figure in European violin with an astonishing international career, is also deeply rooted in the region. He nurtures this territory through his pedagogical commitment at HEMU — Haute École de Musique and as artistic director of the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra. Around Beethoven, the two artists offer an intense and structured journey, driven by passion, tenderness, and the sound architecture of these masterpieces. They are true biographical reflections, composed between the dazzling arrival of young Beethoven in Vienna and the peak of his 'Heroic' period. This first concert of the cycle highlights Sonatas No. 1 and No. 3, with Mozartian accents and dedicated to his mentor Antonio Salieri, as well as Sonata No. 7, composed shortly after his legendary piano alter-ego 'by Moonlight'.
