«Próspera» – that's the name of the libertarian private city that aims to operate with as few laws, taxes, and government interventions as possible. It is currently being built by tech investors, crypto enthusiasts, and biohackers on the Honduran island of Roatán. The vision of more freedom, innovation, and progress is contrasted with the fear of a project that is hardly democratically controlled, serving the enrichment of a few and ignoring the residents and their rights. For his report, Nik Afanasjew visited the self-proclaimed city of the future. He speaks with libertarian visionaries and entrepreneurs as well as locals. Afanasjew creates a portrait of a place where the obscene power questions of our time converge in a very small space. Actress Vera Bommer reads the text.
