PREMIERE: The hypnotic film poem by Kim Allamand and Michael Karrer invites the audience to dive deep into the images. The captivating cinema experience is presented with three different framings. Two spirits meet in Limbo, a place between the earthly and the afterlife. The two spirits are still trapped in their human bodies but have already lost the ability to speak. They stay in Limbo for only a few days before a will-o'-the-wisp guides them to the portal. Without dialogue and with impressively composed images, Kim Allamand and Michael Karrer (FÜÜR BRÄNNT) stage their mythical poem. Thanks to the music, careful lighting, and editing, a more and more transcendent flow of images emerges, gently immersing the viewer into the mysterious world. • On Friday, October 9th, FIRST DAYS will be shown together with LAST DAYS by Gus Van Sant as a double bill at a special price. Van Sant's film about Kurt Cobain inspired Michael Karrer and Kim Allamand to create FIRST DAYS. The directors will give a brief introduction to the double bill, followed by a celebration in the Xenix-Bar with music by DJ Altstette. • FIRST DAYS is entirely without dialogue, which gives the film's music an even greater significance. Musician Alys AM will re-score the film live on Saturday, October 17th,.
