MUSIC IS MEDICINE Workshop on October 28 at Volkshaus Zürich. Join master percussionist, musician, and healer Poranguí in a workshop that helps you rediscover your first and most complex instrument: your own body. In this circle of rhythm, sound, and movement, we explore the place where voice, percussion, and spirit come together. By connecting with the innate sound of our bodies and cultivating expression in a joyful, supportive space, we weave ourselves back into the fabric of life. No prior knowledge is required – this workshop is open to everyone. Discover the joy of singing your soul, embodying rhythm, and serving music through your unique expression. You will leave feeling empowered, whole, and deeply connected. ABOUT PORANGUÍ Poranguí is a World-Soul artist, live-looping musician, and one-man orchestra whose intercultural roots and studies in ethnomusicology at Duke University have shaped his distinctive sound. Growing up in Brazil, Mexico, and the USA, he has been an artist, musician, healer, and teacher for over twenty-five years. In his work, he deeply connects sound and movement, opening spaces for individual and collective transformation. In a vibrant, improvised flow state of consciousness, Poranguí brings forth ancient songs and original compositions in the moment. He creates unique ceremonies that cannot be repeated, where the boundary between performer and audience dissolves.
