A true legend of West African music, the All-Powerful Poly-Rythmo Orchestra comes back to energize the stage of the Onex Shows. Founded in 1967 in Cotonou, Benin, it is one of the most prolific African orchestras with over 500 songs to its credit. Its creator, Clément Mélomé, developed a new style based on traditional Beninese rhythms: African groove. A masterful fusion of African, Latin, and Western music, it blends soul, funk, afrobeat, Congolese rumba, Ghanaian highlife, French variety, and vodoun rhythms. From the 1980s onwards, the group lost popularity but continued to perform around the world. Their last album, Madjafalo, was released in 2016. The group's presence in Onex is a unique opportunity to meet an institution considered immortal.
