For example, the goutweed with its mango note, the scaly polypore smelling of watermelon, and morels with umami flavor. Even inconspicuous tiny creatures like the true garlic scape lead to flavor explosions – quite the opposite of snowball fruits, which with a note of "wet dog" tend to cause grimacing faces.
