Description

From the loud post-rock guitar wall to the acoustic folk ballad: Pico Lightyear plays freely through the rock palette. Black Mountain meets Mazzy Star and Fleetwood Mac meets All Them Witches. Sometimes the fine brush is used, sometimes the whole paint pot is thrown onto the canvas. The debut "Museum of Changing Memories" was released digitally in autumn 2025 and as a vinyl record in January 2026. At the beginning of Pico Lightyear were days of jam sessions organized by Albin Efinger, Emanuel Keller, and Samuel Lutz. Sometimes the three met with friendly musicians in a barn in Appenzellerland, sometimes in a former inn in Engelberg, sometimes in a remote rustico in Ticino. When one day Karin Roth showed up at one of these jams and started singing, Pico Lightyear was born. Songs were quickly written and first concerts played. Their debut album was created in spring 2025 and was carefully recorded independently in a country house in Italy.
