The experience begins with a warm introduction with the opportunity to get to know the fluffy alpacas and familiarize yourself with them. The alpaca herders are happy to share their extensive knowledge of these fascinating animals and are close by during the stay to guide you through the experience.

While enjoying a picnic, you can experience the peaceful atmosphere of the pasture. Perhaps one of the alpacas will even approach you curiously. With calm and patience, some of the animals can even be stroked and fed. Species-appropriate food is provided free of charge. The experience at the Schmalenhof is a journey through history that began in 1926 and is continued today by Corinne and Jonas. Together with their parents-in-law Erika and Benjamin, they have realized their dream of having their own herd of alpacas. Immerse yourself in the idyllic expanse of the Emmental, enjoy the breathtaking views and experience the authentic farm atmosphere with alpacas, cats, rabbits and sheep. Welcome to the Schmalenhof - where tradition and passion come together.

About us:
We are a collective of friends, alpaca farmers, yoga teachers and artists united by our love of nature and animals. The goal: A relaxed smile. A respectful encounter with the wonderful alpaca. In addition to the picnic, alpaca yoga, fondue, sound journeys or painting among alpacas round off the relaxing experience. It is important to us to make a contribution to mental health without harming nature.
